Our College Leadership structure guarantees unity and innovation by aligning structures, policies, and practices with the MSC ethos. Downlands receives guidance from a College Board, whose members are appointed by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, who hold the ultimate responsibility for the College and determine its future path. Our College Executive Leadership Team oversees the planning, strategic direction, and management of the College, with support from Junior, Middle, and Senior School Team Leaders and Year Group Leaders. These leaders collaborate with the Pastoral Care teams at each year level.
The Headmaster leads the College Executive, who strategise, oversee, and guide the College's diverse activities, programs, and future trajectory.
The College Board holds the responsibility of complying with legislative requirements to the corporate regulators (ASIC - ACNC) and ensuring accreditation and registration with the Non-State School Accreditation Board (NSSAB). Through its four sub-committees (Ethos, Education, Finance and Audit, Risk Management), the Board approves College Policy and provides valuable guidance to the Principal/MSC on strategic, financial, capital, or educational changes envisioned for the College.
